Bayer wins U.S. ok to buy Monsanto

The Wall Street Journal reports that the United States Department of Justice is going to clear Bayer to buy Monsanto.

But Canada and Mexico have yet to declare their intentions.

Europe granted its approval earlier this month, but only on condition that some assets be sold, including Bayer’s LibertyLink and row-crop businesses and Monsanto’s NemaStrike seed treatment.

BASF will acquire the LibertyLink and row crop businesses.
