Sofina recalling chicken with salmonella

Sofina Foods Inc. is recalling two of ts Janes brand uncooked breaded chicken products because the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has detected salmonella.

The Canadian Health Agency has been trying since June to track down the source of salmonella food poisoning.

There have been seven in Ontario, two in New Brunswick, two in Nova Scotia and for of them required hospital treatment.

The products on recall are Pub Style Chicken Burgers in 800-gram packages and Pub Style Snacks Popcorn Chicken, also in 800-gram packages.


People who experience sickness after consuming these products are advised to consult their medical doctor.
