Gin recalled for too much kick

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) is recalling Bombay Sapphire brand London Dry Gin because it has almost double the amount of alcohol claimed on the label.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency, which is monitoring the recall, says the gin has 77 instead of 40 per cent alcohol.

It was apparently a mistake when the gin was being diluted for bottling and sale.

The booze is distilled in England by Bacardi.
