That brings the total of released farms to eight.
About 58 premises remain under quarantine, 18 of them
belonging to the business that controls the herd from which the tuberculin cow
was sent to slaughter in the U.S.
Canadian officials have been testing about 28,000 cattle
that are under quarantine in Alberta and Saskatchewan and say that six have
tested positive.
That has yet to be confirmed by thorough testing which takes
weeks.
Those six animals did not show any infection or symptoms
when they were slaughtered.
So far the situation has not led to any trade barriers.
