Salmonella bacteria that cause food
poisoning have been detected in Duncan Hines brand Apple Caramel Cake Mix, so
Pinnacle Foods Canada Corporation is recalling it from the market.
It has been distributed from coast to
coast.
It’s the company that detected the
issue, but the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is monitoring the recall, as it
does for all food-poisoning contaminants.
The CFIA says there have been no
reported illnesses.
