Nonsense story about Amish voting for Trump

Canadian Press reporter Alexander Panetta has written one of the most ridiculous articles about the ridiculous United States campaign for president – that the Amish of Lancaster County, Pa., favour Donald Trump.

By his own admission, far down in the story, the Amish don’t vote.

Nor do Old Order Mennonites.

So why can it possibly matter which candidate they favour – Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

It’s clear from his article that those he consulted don’t like Trump, mainly because of his hubris, but also for his lifestyle of multiple wives, gambling casinos and hateful rhetoric.

But they also do not like Democrats - not so much Clinton personally - for their stance in favour of abortion and gay rights.

Why can’t Panetta and the Canadian Press simply leave the Amish and Mennonites alone to be “quiet in the land”?
