New export program launches

The federal government is offering matching grants of up to $100,000 to small companies to encourage them to explore export markets.

The grants are available to companies that employ fewer than 250 workers, who have annual sales of between $200,000 and $50 million and who launch either new products or export to new countries.

International Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland unveiled the CanExport program during a visit to a technology startup centre in Waterloo this week.
