Juici Patties recall for E. coli 0157:H7

Juici Patties of Scarborough is recalling its Juici Patties brand Jamaican-style unbaked chicken patties due to possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination.

That’s the same bacteria that prompted the XL Foods Inc. recall in 2013, the largest beef recall in Canadian history, and the contamination of the municipal water supply in Walkerton, Ont.

The company is recalling 3.5-pound 12-packs of Unbaked Jamaican Style Patty with product code 3184.

The recall was triggered by the company. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is investigating and supervising the recall. It says its investigation might prompt recalls for other products.

It says there have been no reported illnesses linked to the recalled products.
