Goat farmer ink deal with SPCA

Ontario Goat association has signed a memorandum of understanding to help the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals investigate farms.

The goat farmers will help the OSPCA to understand what constitutes animal cruelty in farm settings, to educate the public and to persuade farmers who need to change their management practices.

It’s the eighth agreement the OSPCA has reached with farm organizations representing producers of a particular commodity.

In all cases, the farm organizations will help train OSPCA inspectors.
