The American Association of Swine Veterinarians reports the
total of confirmed cases has risen to 768, an increase of 44 from last week.
Another 484 samples of the environment have detected the
virus.
The most-affected states are North Carolina, 580; Oklahoma, 529; Kansas,
450; Iowa, 192; Minnesota, 139; Colorado, 79; Ohio, 72 and Indiana, 26.
There have been cases in 17 states.
So far there have been no confirmed reports of the disease from Canadian
farmers or veterinarians.
